I had the privilege of working side by side with the PAs and docs at Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation (CHCC). I saw firsthand the clinical skill, teamwork, adaptability, and commitment this team brings to the people of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
CHCC is looking for PAs and NPs to join its Emergency Department team in Saipan.
Emergency medicine can be an intimidating place to begin a career, and the quality of mentorship and physician support can make all the difference. CHCC has experienced emergency physicians accustomed to working collaboratively with PAs and NPs. With double, triple, and at times quadruple provider coverage, new graduates can develop their clinical judgment and emergency medicine skills alongside experienced clinicians.
Mentorship and teamwork are part of how this department functions. I saw that collaboration firsthand.
For experienced PAs and NPs, there is plenty to be excited about. A few highlights:
• Starting salary of $95,000 for entry-level providers w/ experienced clinicians may qualify for a 25% salary differential on all hours worked
• 5 weeks of paid annual leave
• 1 week of CME leave annually
• Accruing sick leave
• $10,000 relocation benefit with a two-year commitment
• Potential U.S. tax advantages associated with living and working in the CNMI
And then there is Saipan itself. 🌴
You are living on a beautiful Pacific island, closer to Asia than the continental United States, with year-round access to the ocean, diving, hiking, and outdoor recreation. It is a different kind of life and an opportunity to practice medicine in a setting most clinicians will never experience.
Having worked alongside this team, I can say something a recruitment posting cannot: these are clinicians I would be proud to work beside again, and I would feel comfortable sending a new graduate PA to learn from them.
